This is a website. But you knew
that. Do you want one too? Let's have coffee and talk.
There is alot to learn for the uninitiated. |
Web design is a unique design medium.
In theory,
anyone can create a functional web site, complete with links, text and
photos. The advent of do-it-yourself HTML software has made it
relatively simple to carve out your niche on the web. Everybody has a
'buddy'; someone who designs web sites as a sideline. This also
explains why there are so many badly designed web sites - if someone
has a paintbrush, it doesn't make them Picasso.
Top shelf web design requires a wealth of skills and disciplines. The
site has to look good, lest it get lost in the clutter, or even worse,
reflect badly on an otherwise sound business endeavor. The site
graphics, critical to the 'look', have to be optimized to deal with the
technical issues involved in delivering this imagery across a network
of connected computers, servers and phone lines. A logical navigation
system and site tree is a must, so that your visitors can find what
they're looking for (and what you're attempting to show them) quickly,
and with as little frustration as possible.
I approach your
web design in the following manner - the analysis of the direction you
wish to take, the message you are trying to deliver, and the audience
you are trying to appeal to. To this end, I look at the design
ingredients that could go into any web design project, and how they
apply to your unique business identity. Through my distinct design
phases I then create a custom web site shell tailored to your specific
plans.
